MACHIMBO PHARMACY, owned by MACHIMBO COMPANY LIMITED, began not as a business, but as a mission born in 2018 after our founder, Saidi B. Hamza, lost a close friend due to the lack of essential diabetic medication in rural Tanzania. What started as a small community drugstore in Hedaru grew into a bold response to systemic gaps in medicine access and supply. With co-founder Habibu Salimu, we expanded into wholesale operations to eliminate delays, reduce costs, and bring trusted medicines closer to those in need.
Today, MACHIMBO CO. LTD is dedicated to delivering affordable, high-quality medicines to underserved communities with a strong belief that access to quality healthcare is a right not a privilege. Together we are building a healthier, more equitable Africa.
